The 6th annual California Clean Innovation (CACI) Conference is a forum for investors, entrepreneurs, managers, and students to review the current clean technology trends and commercially viable innovations. The 2012 CACI Conference will be held on Friday May 4th, 2012, at Covel Commons at UCLA.

CACI 2011 was a great success. The CACI team would like to thank the sponsors, our distinguished speakers, the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring everyone together, and, of course, you! CACI is a venue for cleantech enthusiasts to come together and share ideas and dreams. Without the contribution of your knowledge and experience and your passion for revolutionizing business in California, the CACI conference would not be so exciting and dynamic.

Fast Pitch competition finalists have been selected! April 29, 2011
The five finalists who will compete to win the CACI 2011 Fast Pitch competition are: Biogas & Electric, BWA, Fresh Picked, HIVE, and IO-Mega. They will compete for a 1st place cash prize $10,000, as well as other great prizes! Click here to read more about the Fast Pitch finalists.
The winner of the The Fast Pitch competition will be determined by a judging panel of four industry experts, including our keynote speaker Byron Washom. In addition, the competition audience will serve as the 5th judge through live voting!

Byron Washom will deliver closing keynote at CACI 2011! April 24, 2011
Byron Washom is UC San Diego’s Director of Strategic Energy Initiatives and is responsible for energy management policy to achieve the campus’ goals for quantum improvements in energy management and Greenhouse Gas reductions. Prior to UCSD, Mr. Washom was the CEO for twenty years of a due diligence firm that specialized in CleanTech, and he served as Sr. International Advisor to the World Bank and the Department of Energy.
Mr. Washom will join John Denniston, Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, and Michael R. Niggli, President and COO of SDG&E, in our esteemed lineup of keynote speakers. CACI to include workshop on Credits and Incentives for Cleantech! April 21, 2011
We’re proud to announce that, for the first time in CACI’s five-year life, the conference will feature a workshop! The 1-hour workshop, Credits and Incentives for Cleantech, will be conducted by BDO, an internationally renowned professional services firm. BDO experts from the Green Energy Tax Services and Assurance Services teams will walk through the myriad of local and federal programs available for cleantech companies and investors, and provide suggestions for how to obtain these credits and incentives.

Announcing our second keynote speaker: Michael R. Niggli! April 11, 2011
Michael R. Niggli is president and chief operating officer of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), Sempra Energy’s regulated California utility. In 2006, Niggli was named chief operating officer of SDG&E and Southern California Gas Co., another of Sempra Energy’s regulated California utilities. Previously, from 2000 to 2006, Niggli was president of Sempra Generation where he was responsible for the operation and maintenance of merchant power plants and energy infrastructure throughout North America.
