Fernanda Gandara is Vice-President of Business Development at Synthetic Genomics, Inc (SGI), a privately held company founded in 2005, dedicated to developing and commercializing genomic-driven solutions to address global energy and environmental challenges, including: Renewable Fuels and Chemicals made directly from CO2 and sunlight; Jatropha as a dedicated Bioenergy crop; and Microbial solutions for Enhanced Hydrocarbon Recovery. Fernanda is native Brazilian; she earned a MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in California and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Escola de Engenharia Maua in Brazil.
