Greg Horowitt is the Executive Director of Global CONNECT, a think tank based at the University of California, San Diego that developments and grows successful research and technology clusters in over 20 countries. Greg is also the co-founder and Managing Director of T2 Venture Capital, a seed-st age venture fund focused on the commercialization of IP from government-funded programs and universities around the world. He is active in the IP sourcing and executive management of their portfolio companies, including his role as the founding CEO of STAR, a biomedical discovery and development company. Greg was formerly the Interim Executive Director of CONNECT, which helped launch over 300 companies in San Diego that have, collectively, raised over $600 million in early-stage funding and achieved over $10 billion in market capitalization. Greg other experience includes serving as CEO of the Praetorian Group, a venture backed enterprise software company; Vice President at a Berkshire Hathaway company; and, Entrepreneur in Residence at SK Global venture capital. Mr. Horowitt sits on the boards of numerous of technology companies and non-profit organizations. He has personally been involved with and/or mentored more than 200 companies.
