At GE Energy Financial Services, Jim is responsible for managing renewables and power transactions for the western region of the US and is involved in project financing through debt, structured and common equity. Jim’s experience in project and energy finance includes renewable energy projects as well as conventional natural gas and other fossil-fueled power generation and transmission projects. Prior to joining GE in 1998, Jim gained energy finance experience while working for Entergy’s unregulated utility subsidiary. At Entergy, Jim’s responsibilities included analyzing, structuring, and raising debt and equity for international power projects and acquisitions in Europe, South America, North America and Australia. Prior to Entergy, Jim worked at a US West capital subsidiary and Security Pacific National Bank, in their respective project finance divisions. Jim earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School-Los Angeles, a Master’s Degree in Business from California State University-Fullerton and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Utah. |
