Larry Baebler has over 32 years of energy experience working for San Diego Gas and Electric, Sempra Energy, and Chevron Energy Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of ChevronTexaco Corporation. While at San Diego Gas and Electric, Larry Baebler created and implemented many utility energy conservation programs which have become national standards for utility industry. While at San Diego Gas and Electric, Larry was responsible for the development of the Account Executives Sales and Marketing Program for the top 500 revenue producing commercial and industrial customers. This Account Executive Program led to identification, installation, and commissioning of over $250 million in energy efficient improvements to San Diego Gas and Electric customers. While employed by Sempra Energy Solutions, Larry was one of the initial employees who created, designed, and implemented Sempra Energy Solutions unregulated strategies and business plan. Prior to leaving Sempra Energy Solutions, Larry was the Director of National Accounts for Business Development and sold projects to AT&T Corporation, Anheuser-Busch, Kraft, and many other national energy service marquee accounts. Larry also led a joint venture sales and marketing team for Sempra Energy and Phillips Electronics of North America. As the Joint Venture Team Leader for this proposed $125 million per year electronic commerce business, Larry reported to Sempra’s Chief Executive Officer and the President of Phillips Electronics. At Chevron Energy Solutions, Larry is responsible for developing comprehensive energy solutions for commercial and industrial and public sector customers who are installing energy projects such as; Performance Contracts, Solar cogeneration, power quality, substation upgrades and fuel cells. Larry has provided expert testimony before the California Energy Commission, the California Public Utilities Commission, and the United States Department of Energy. He has received awards and special recognition from the Natural Resource Defense Council, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, the United States Department of Energy, and a California Governor’s Award for Excellence in Energy Management Program Implementation. |
