| Alternative fuel technology has yet to materialize into
a scalable and viable substitute for gasoline. Vehicles powered by
alternative fuels not only have to compete with each other but also
face a multitude of technical hurdles, regulatory obstacles, and
behavioral barriers. Some of the current forerunners include ethanol,
biodiesel, natural gas, propane, and hydrogen. How can these
technologies be made viable and which ones hold the most promise? |
