An oceanographer by training, Dr. Jones established a boutique investment advisory service focused on seawater desalination, 'desal.jones.'  Mr. Jones is actively involved in developing innovative solutions for seawater intakes and capturing energy from the entropy in brine discharging into the sea from desalination plants.  Dr. Jones advocates a distributed production of drinking water through seawater desalination utilizing a long-term build, own, operate business model.  Dr. Jones sits on the board of the Offshore Technology Conference, the premier offshore oil and gas trade exhibition.
