Mike Bissonette

Vice President & General Manager, Energy Technology Center
AeroVironment, Inc.


Michael Bissonette (50) is the Vice President & General Manager of the Energy Technology Center at AeroVironment Inc., a leader in unmanned aircraft systems and efficient energy systems—based out of Monrovia, CA.  He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine. He began his career as a radar systems engineer at McDonnell Douglas. Spent 17 years in the Aerospace industry, including key positions in Business Development, Strategic Planning and Program Management while at Lockheed Martin (formerly Ford Aerospace). Subsequently (and prior to joining AV), Mike spent 11 years at Western Digital Corporation (computer Hard Disk Drive industry) where he held executive level positions directing groups within Engineering, New Product Development, Product Assurance, Procurement, and Program and Product Management.

Originally from upstate New York, Mike has resided in southern California for the past 28 years, is married, and has 4 children."
