Dr. Rachid
Yazami currently serves as a Visiting
Associate in Materials Science and in Chemistry at the California
Institute of Technology (Caltech) in collaboration with the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory (JPL/NASA). His primary research interests
include carbon-lithium negative electrode for lithium-ion batteries,
liquid and polymer electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries, Li/graphite
fluoride primary and rechargeable batteries, interfacial
electrochemistry in lithium batteries, nano materials for lithium ion
batteries, and thermodynamics of intercalation electrode processes. He
has invented numerous battery technologies used in commercial products
and by NASA, among others.
He is also the Founder and President of CFX Battery, Inc., a startup
company on primary and rechargeable lithium and fluoride batteries. |
